About The Project
The project marks a revitalizing addition & renovation to a 150-year-old armoury. The new space has been captivated into an Event Community Space, complete with classrooms & features kitchens for demonstrations & presentations, standing as a testament to the skilled craftsmanship & dedication exhibited during the project. Niagara College culinary students now benefit from a dynamic educational environment that underwent a comprehensive overhaul. Recognized globally, this project has won numerous prestigious awards for the Canadian Food & Wine Institute, highlighting its architectural excellence for event spaces:

The project addressed a myriad of challenges posed by the aging structure, including deteriorating structural supports & a high-water table. Despite these obstacles, the collaborative efforts of the entire project team helped transform the country's oldest active drill shed into the town's newest community hub—a functional space for education & community engagement.
